Instructions:

parchment paper. - Combine Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking
powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Set aside. - Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and
sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes). - Add Egg and Extracts: Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract if
using, until combined. - Mix in Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture,
mixing just until incorporated. - Shape the Cookies: Roll dough into small balls (about 1 inch) and place them 2
inches apart on the prepared baking sheets. If you like, gently flatten them with
the back of a spoon or add holiday sprinkles. - Bake: Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Let cookies cool
on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool
